Approach

Approach

People are drawn to counseling when they are struggling personally or when there is something about their lives that they would like to see changed…

I believe that we all have our own answers and solutions deep within, but sometimes we get stuck in the process of change and we need someone to gently guide or challenge us.

Your time with me will be a collaborative interaction where we explore your personal goals, gain insight and clarity on what is most meaningful to you, and work around any difficulties that may be holding you back or disempowering you.

At our first meeting, we will discuss your current needs and concerns, and decide how we can best work together to address them. During this initial consultation we will determine how to proceed with additional sessions.

As a counselor, I use a psychodynamic, humanistic/existential lens while drawing techniques from a variety of disciplines, including emotion focused, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal family systems therapies in a way that complements your personal goals.

I am down-to-earth, unassuming, and qualified to work with you as an individual, a family, or a couple as you navigate through life’s transitions and challenges.

Specializing in helping with depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, family of origin issues, trauma, and couples therapy, marriage counseling and family counseling.
